What we collect when you use this website or ask us for a quote, why we collect it, and how you stay in control of it.
Last updated: 2 August 2026. This policy covers the website hattonscleaning.co.uk and enquiries made through it.
Hatton's Cleaning Services ("we", "us", "our") provides exterior cleaning, commercial cleaning, vehicle valeting and drainage services from a base in Redruth, Cornwall. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at:
When you complete the quote request form on our contact page, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the service you need, your customer type, your location or town, and whatever you tell us about the job.
If you contact us instead by phone, email, WhatsApp or social media, we hold whatever you choose to share in that conversation.
Our website is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs — including IP addresses and the pages requested — to deliver the site securely and defend it against abuse. This happens for every visitor and does not depend on your cookie choice.
If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymous usage data about your visit: pages viewed, approximate location (country and region level), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and interactions such as clicking a phone number or submitting the quote form.
We deliberately exclude your name, email address and phone number from everything sent to Google Analytics.
| What we do | Why | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote | You asked us to | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract |
| Carry out and invoice work you book | To deliver the service | Performance of a contract |
| Keep records of jobs, quotes and payments | Accounting, insurance and dispute resolution | Legal obligation and legitimate interests |
| Run the website securely | To keep the site online and protected | Legitimate interests |
| Measure how the website is used | To understand what visitors need and improve the site | Your consent |
We do not use your details for marketing emails or newsletters, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
When you first arrive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing analytics-related is loaded until you choose. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is never downloaded at all — it is not simply switched off after the fact.

Select Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page to bring the banner back and change your choice at any time. You can also delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
We load typefaces from Google Fonts. This means your browser requests files from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
We share personal data only with the service providers that make our business run, and only as far as they need it:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Netlify and Google are US-based and may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Form submissions travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection and are held in access-controlled accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us and limit who can see it.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Email info@hattonscleaning.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Our services are aimed at adults and we do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
